Thank God bebeng is out! But I continue praying for those families who were greatly affected with the flood. I really pity those families who worked hard for their farms.

Wow! It's May already and it's nearly half of 2011.
So far so good, it's never a question that God is always good! Blessings here and there.
Thank you Google (♥_♥) for being cooperative.

When Bebeng was pouring down too much rain outside and there was no power, I was able to clean out my inbox. Well at least some of them. Four thousand messages is very tiresome to check, whether which of them are approved for omission.

Happy to read some of them, but somehow got sad with most of them. Some of them I stored for years and some are for months. I thought that deleting them would be as easy as Marking All of them at once, but I was completely wrong. BUT, the good news is.. I was able to delete approximately 1,000 messages (i think), that's an achievement right?? That leaves me around 3 thousand messages more to delete. It's still an achievement!

Well good luck to me, I guess I should not open them anymore, Mark them all at once and hit the DELETE button.

I almost forgot, it's May, so that means I have something to finish something before June starts! I pray for wisdom dear God!

P.S. It's always better to write down things that you need to do. Once you write down tasks / goals / happiness and sadness, it's a way of affirming yourself. So stay positive, think positive to do positive things plus always pray for everything that you do.

I have lots of things to say for my year end post but in order to keep it short and easy to read (Plus I'm kind of lazy) I'll just post my A to Z of feelings of gratitude for year 2010.

A - for the ANGER that taught me how to be kind to others and to my self.
B - BAMBI our Mini Pin, a protector in our home. her sweetness is a stress reliever
C - my COLLEGE friends who are far yet near.
D - for letting me DRIVE safe all year round, everyday and everywhere.
E - for the ENERGY that I have especially whenever I need to be strong
F - my FAMILY who has been always there for me every second of my life
G - my GUIDANCE Center family for being my second family at work
H - my High School friends who never fail to remind me that I'm so lucky to have them

I treasure every thing that comes across my way. Some of them might be insignificant to others, like a small piece of paper might be a trash but very important to me. Spare my shallowness, for I find strength in those simple things around me. I do not have a resolution or a promise for year 2011. I only have an ABC for year 2011.

A - ACHIEVE God's plan for year 2011. With His light and stronger faith to Him, I'll find my way right.
B - the BEAUTY of life that God has offered me for the past 25 years, may it continue to flow together with humility
C - the CHANCE to wake up each day and continue to discover people's goodness no matter how different we are.

Everything is Alright

Yes it's the Christmas Season, but there's one thing that I can keep myself from wondering what is the answer behind the Why question intended for a person. The change is so obvious that it gets better for the person not to say anything and rather be quiet and not talk to others. I just don't know if I'm just imagining that there's a change or there isn't. I cannot gauge what is happening and I don't like the ask any further.Can indefiniteness be measured? It's quite difficult or it might lead to being impossible. Haayy I don't like to imagine anymore.. the rainbow just made my day yesterday and it's a sign that I have to make the succeeding days colorful. I'll give myself the benefit of the doubt. Everything is alright.

Just out of nowhere, after seeing my previous post of Walk the Talk, I now find myself with this song Walk on Water. Googled it to look for a song and I found one by Britt Nicole, only to find out that this song was also played in one of the episodes of The Biggest Loser. Very timely again, I had so many bad dreams last night, it was a series I believe and I was shouting but there was no voice coming out of my mouth. Feels like a nightmare alright. When I was shouting in the dream, I knew that I was dreaming and it led me to be awakened. Thank God for waking me up. It was really scary. :(

Just had a client today, he just left about 5 minutes ago. Everything was turning out fine. All I was saying was on the right track. Somehow, something hit me, I might be an effective counselor to others, but I'm not an effective counselor to myself. Anniversary

Today is the 1st death anniversary of Ma'am Gaile. The day she left us full of hopes and memories.

Ma'am Gaile, I know you've seen our testing room. I know it's not your dream testing room for the school, you and Ma'am Shie had planned for it for so many years. But at least we have it now beside the office and not anymore on the third floor right? That's still an improvement. My work and designation today was all because of you planned or not. Until now I could not help but think if is it really for me or was it because you left us. Please tell God I'm quite out of focus this past few months. =(

I get it Lolo Freud, you're so good in timing. I'm making my Final Requirements in one of my subjects in my masters. Yep, it's late, due to unacceptable reasons that I have with me, it's long overdue. As my tukayo said before "If deadlines can kill, I should be dead by now". I got caught up while writing my final exam, Freud's dream interpretation once again called my attention.

Last night, I barely slept for 3 hours and in that three hours I woke up for around 5 times! Too much I can say. No wonder Kuya Pao noticed that I have baggages under my eyes today. My unconscious is screaming, but of course I don't know what makes it scream. This morning, just like any ordinary day, I went to work with some confusions in me. I was driving when I recalled that I had a dream when I was asleep. In the dream, the brake of the car wasn't working no matter how hard I step on it. Thank God it didn't happen today or I'm praying that it won't happen in the future.

I believe this is still part of my recurring dreams but in a different perspective because I still felt the same fear like the ones that I had before. =(

Relapse

Thanks to my five years ago.. I learned how to be strong. But I guess when you learn a few things about life there are things that will go beyond your way. Something that you thought was over but still it's there. Yes, I'm having my relapses back. Reminding me how stupid I am and what it brought me up today. Yes I'm strong and yes I'm selfish. Selfishly protecting myself that even new friends I create brings me to no good.

I thought it was fun, everybody was enjoying every bit of the story they were creating. It brought them happiness but it brought me relapse. It's not every time when I'm laughing with you guys everything is always fine. I let it pass for months but still the same agony. I can laugh with them alright but this time it's bringing me not to my wit's end but thank you for reminding me for who I am. I looked for means to compensate the laughter they were creating and sadness to myself but it was just not good enough. 5 years ago I swore to myself. Something I have with me now. It's full of hatred for others and protection for myself in any kinds of relationship. If it will bring me to another 5 years, hopefully it will be much clearer. What has been happening lately are my defense mechanisms in different kinds of ways. Being unpredictable to what is currently happening and being unmindful of what others are saying.

Goodbye and Hi

I traveled time with this watch for 8 long years.

7 years working as a wrist watch and 1 year as a bangle/bracelet.

I never used any other watches even though I can borrow from my sister.

This watch broke down on me twice costing me too much like I already bought a new one.

The third time it stopped ticking I decided not to have it repaired

but instead I decided to hold on to it...for another year.

I just can't go outside the house without it on my wrist.

It feels like there's something lacking if I don't have it with me.

It was a gift given by my father when I learned how to use and

appreciate of having a watch with me.

I'm not a time conscious person who keeps track of time every minute

but I know that time is significant.

After a year of serving it's purpose of being a bracelet, something horrible happened to it.

I lost the back plate of the watch during my trip in Tagaytay-Manila. I didn't really notice if it fell out in Tagaytay or in Manila. It's sad that I had to wait for it to happen

instead of keeping it safe and sound.

The incident made me decided to totally let go of it.

It's now or never, I gave the Gucci watch a rest for it served me well for a long time.

Goodbye to by old watch and Hi to my new one.

I bought a new one from Lulu C. It looks girly than the G though. =D

Looking forward to a number of years with my new watch like my old one or may be more.

I cherish what I have, I keep them safe and value them with life so that they would last long.

If we know how to value things then we will know how to value people, relationships and life in general.

It's Friday and I'm In Love!

It's not that it's payday, it's more than that! :)

Bought some foods from Egg Mess (bulastog and fried siomai) this morning and shared it to my boss and two of our student assistants.

Lunch, I ate shawarma rice and decided to eat at Litz.

I got my FREE softdrinks (FREEBIE 1) from boss D. Thanks!! :)

A kind and usual gesture from an old friend.

When I went back to the office, the electricity just went off and the generator was not up yet. We were joking around the new Selecta Ice Cream being sold at the canteen beside our office if when are we going to buy one (bago eh! haha). I was with Brian and guess what..

FREEBIE No. 2 was a Cornetto! Yumyum

After a few minutes, Ma'am Regie our GD came and asked if we already tried buying ice cream. Since I was the only one who tried first, our student assistants said "not yet".

Then here goes FREEBIE No. 3! Another Cornetto! waaaaa sugarness na eto!

I wasn't expecting that I will still be given with the fact that I just ate one a few minutes ago.

Suddenly, after a few minutes again, one of our peer counselor passed by our office who happens to be celebrating his birthday today. Unexpectedly, three of us from the office were given another treat! Yes you read it right.. another treat! FREEBIE No. 4 was another ice cream but on a stick.

I only shared once and unexpectedly got four in return. No matter how simple they were, our bonding today in our office was something unforgettable. Thank you Lord. Three ice creams in one day is a rare one! :D

I Can't Hold On

Last night, the rain poured and I can't stop it. It felt like I lost something or rather it felt like I lost something that I thought I was holding on. When the rain drops, you can touch it, you can feel it, it's there and you saw it dropped. After a moment, all you knew was how the rain touched you and how it made you feel fresh.
All there was "is the now" and all there are for tomorrow will be "nothing".
But all these are just thoughts in my mind. They are just thoughts, so why can't I hold on to it?

My patience was again tested during my last class tonight. Whoever said that it's always nice to look young is lame. As for my present situation, I need to look mature because of my work but my genes and bone structure does not agree with that. In the field of Psychology particular Guidance and Counseling, we were taught on how to be patient, mild, empathic and kind that I even forgot how to look furious (if the situation calls for it) especially in face to face interactions. Let's face it, we need to let rage conquer us when we need to be one. Acknowledge the rage to seek peace of mind. It's cathartic in a sense that it's a sort of a reminder of who you are and how others see you. It's not easy to be nice in front of everyone or inconsistencies will be labeled on you, right? It's quite unfair if others would link your life to your profession, we are just but humans to commit mistakes but again more is expected from us :(. This is a difficult task and more so of a difficult destiny. Sometimes I like to learn how it is to be mad..the facial expression, tone of voice, and the look of a fierce-full eye. Time will come for all these. The right person to show it too, the right place to take part in and the right time for it to occur. Worse comes to worse, I still pray that I do not reach this point for the time being.

I don't have the face to be mad, I don't have the loud voice to sound mad but i have silence to keep me calm.

On the Other Hand

July 24th was verging it's way towards my existence..on the other side of the life space, others were also revolving around the same minute and second where we are also living in. I will not pre-empt, I just interpreted it to something unexpected and unusual. I even said that I don't believe it. Well true enough, I just can't believe what I knew this afternoon. Feeling ko hindi yun totoo hehe which makes it soooo funny lng tlga. :))

One July 24th

Another Saturday of administering an IQ test and personality test to our freshmen and transferees.

I was up around 6am, hoping that I would still be early for our (SSC CamSur) medical mission along with Diabetes Philippines Cam Sur Chapter as the primary sponsor. I managed to arrive at the Naga City Youth Center at around quarter to 7 in the morning. To my surprise, the hall was half full with people, mostly Diabetes-at-risk just like me or diagnosed with Diabetes already. I had to go to work around 7:15 for the scheduled test administration, so it means I didn’t have my FBS measured. I said that I’ll be coming back around 9 am for that… and so I did. The venue was almost empty and I was thinking that it’s now my chance to have my blood sugar checked. After a few minutes, sad to say there were no more strips for me. So there goes judgment day and come back another day. At around 10am, together with Kuya Pao, we went back to UNC and bought myself a tall hot White Mocha from Beanbag because I didn’t have my breakfast clearly because I was aiming for my fasting blood sugar to be checked. Went back to work and the test administration continued for the whole day.

I wasn’t able to eat lunch on time. Test administration still continued. At around 4:30 pm, as I transferred to and from another building, bringing all the test materials using Citie, I accidentally left the car keys on the driver seat. Yes you read it right, the car keys inside the car! I only noticed it after trying to check the key if it was on my belt about 25 steps away from the car.. then poof, the car locked up on its own. That my dear friends is a disadvantage of having an automated car alarm & lock system installed in your car. After closing the doors, count 15 minutes and it will lock on its own. This is somehow good for those who forget to lock the car anyway.

What were my options of getting the key?

1. Go home and get the duplicate key and remote OR have someone bring the duplicate key here at work. BUT, bad luck was here, Bem (kiakapatid ko) was charging her phone turned off, so she was clearly out of reach.

2. Sungkitin ang susi sa loob with a steel wire.

To my surprise, a sudden flashback came to me.

1. When I was at Beanbag, while waiting for the coffee I took pictures of the place and guess what, with no purpose at all that very second.. I also took a picture of the car key using my phone.

2. Before going down the car, I didn't close the driver side window all the way up, I left an open space for about 3 inches. What was on my mind then? So that the air would circulate inside the car para hindi mainit. This is routinary for me whenever I park inside the campus, but the difference was, I had it 3 inches open wide when compared to my ordinary open space of 1 inch.

Everything has a purpose!! Indeed everything! Again law of attraction is very strong.

Why did I take a picture of my car keys?? Why did I leave the window open for about 3 inches wide and not 1 inch wide.?

So what was the solution to my urgent problem? If option number two will not work by 5pm, I will go home to get the duplicate. When I was trying to contact my kinakapatid, mas lalong sumakit ulo ko due to my hunger. Tired, hungry, stressed and haggard looking moment. Naghanap ako ng steel wire sa office, as I was looking for the pair of scissors, again, walang gunting!! Nawawala! Hay this isn’t really my day. I asked help from our SA to help me look for a scissor, buti nlng may nakuha.

Sino pnasungkit ko? Si Jake at Mark (two of our peer counselors). Ang galing! Thank you talaga.

After getting the car keys, I sat down inside the car for a moment and rested for a while. Then I drove off once again to Beanbag to get another cup of coffee and something to eat. As time was running, I was also in a hurry to finish what I was eating and drinking. It was my breakfast, lunch and early dinner btw all coiled in one. What’s worse, I got a surprising headache because of hunger. First time ever!

After having my snack, I prepared myself for my 6:30 to 8:30 class. Buti nlng di nagpasaway mga students ko. I even had a good laugh while discussing our topic. To my surprise, everytime I laugh, the forebrain will cut the crap and feel the pain. After dismissing my 2^nd class, I still had to drive off to Pili and fetch mom. It was a loooonnngggg day. A July 24 that I’ll never forget.

Got home at around 9:30 pm. As I was about to plug my notebook. Poof, I left my charger inside the bag of the multimedia projector at the office!!! May pahabol pa sa bad day ko. haha

To sum it up, I wasn't able to check my FBS, had a late breakfast, lunch and early dinner, left the car keys inside the car, left the charger for my notebook after work.

P.S.

Nag internet pa ako pagka uwi sa bahay then slept at around 11? Haha pasaway talaga. Tired but not sleepy yet. tsk tsk

Why I hate People Who Leave

My closest friends are away from me. Here's the trend when it comes to my friends... when i was in Baguio, mostly of my HS closest friends were here in Naga and a few in Manila. When i came back here in Naga after college, we had different professions to keep in different places. I have one in Albay, one in US, one in UK, one in Manila.

As for my college friends in Baguio, of course when I went back here in Naga.. I was the one who left. Most of them are still in Baguio and some are in Manila. I visit them for only once a year and that's all. One, also left for the US =(

I have a set of friend since high school.. but is of different level.. I can see them everyday but the connection is different. I managed to have 2 close friends about 3 years ago.. they're still here in Naga but we rarely see each other.

see... when i'm here they're anywhere and when i'm anywhere they're here.

Yes, we all have the means to reach all our friends wherever they may be, but proximity speaking, the presence of your friends around is still way too different with the presence of them through a channel.

I was giving a Study Habits Survey this morning to first year high school students and as I was wrapping up the session, I saw a student seated in front writing his name on a colored paper as his name tag. I don't know what pushed me to glance on that student, to my surprise, I saw the name. A name that I think who is significant somehow in one way or another. But why his name??!

Beauty in a Beast

It was dusk of June 8, 2010, the atmosphere was loud and roaring because of the thunder.

Lightning strikes everywhere causing people to cover their heads and ears.

A natural reaction to protect oneself because the "danger" is heard and seen.

It was like the sky was cracking like the soil when there's an earthquake.

Definitely the weather yesterday jived with my emotions.

The rain stopped but mine didn't.

When you look at the sky when lightning strikes, somehow it looks amazing beautiful

but it was coupled with fear.

This time might still be another visionary reminder not to attack the problem abruptly

but rather attack the problem with caution.

Remind oneself that there is always a benefit of the doubt in every situation.

Optimism strikes but carry along with you acceptance with the outcome.

Once I Caught a Fish

How many "lightbulb" moments do you create whenever you are talking to someone? Well of course it depends upon who you are talking to. These lightbulbs reminds us of either something, somewhere or maybe someone. Fishes in the ocean will not be always caught through the mouth. If you are a fisherman using the simple fishing rod, all you need are slimy worms and stuffs as bait. If you are a fisherman on a vessel trying to fish for the mature ones, then prepare for huge hooks or nets that can take out huge catches.

Getting first hand informations by yourself is a relief and gives us a sense of satisfaction. Once I caught too many lightbulbs and fishes in the ocean. Some by chances and some by purpose. I may have used baits for the meantime but I'll definitely be preparing for huge hooks and nets knowing for big fishes.

Keep the lightbulb burning!

Counting Raindrops

Warning: Very RANDOM thoughts

Can we really count raindrops? I hope we can so that we can easily go to sleep instead of counting jumping cows for that matter.

Lately there have been so many questions, but there are limited answers. I'm jumping off from one statement to another. Are they connected? Somehow.

Just another imagination, I hope we have substitutes that can play my role as me. Am I staying away from myself? I believe I am for years now. Even though I had the chance to continue my parade after quite some time. I still lack the nerve to stop it whenever I should. A lot of people are watching but only few can appreciate.

I'd like to count the raindrops that touches my skin. I'd like to count the raindrops that cooled me up during the summer heat. I'd like to count the raindrops that brought me to know the existence of an umbrella.. a shield to keep myself safe. I'd like to count the raindrops that shed on my face that hid my face when I was crying.

Mr. Sandman please sprinkle me a little of your dust and let me fall asleep.

It's Raining On My Parade

Burt Bacharach's song Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head is a song that makes me reminisce my college years especially my Philo Teacher. A very young professor and a Ph D Degree holder but very simple and humble. He made us realize that everything on earth will exist if we know how to keep them alive. Dealing with emotions of the human being will never be easy and it is from him that I learned that we must co-exist with everyone and everything around us. Currenlty, I am co-existing with my inner conflicts and it's not a question anymore that I am really disheartened by this.

I never thought it would hurt that much. I would be a hypocrite if I say that I didn't know that I'll get hurt. Clearly my fault and no one else can be blamed. It's a happy parade with enough color and radiance, with the right people and company, with the enough contentment and glee. But it seems everything is leading towards the boulevard of temporary happiness. I was enjoying now knowing that I might not enjoy tomorrow. Carpe Diem? It feels good to take in the power of now, but I know it feels bad if you know you'll end up nothing. I kept my hopes up even though I know that from the very beginning it would be a cloudy chance. No matter how dark the clouds may be, I guess I do know how to fight now instead of taking flight. Nevertheless, I know my effort wasn't enough, I still have to work on it though. The mind boggling question is this, am I still willing to hope? Am I still willing to try or am I ready to cry?

There, I acknowledged that what I'm doing is my fault, now what? Again, I have to face the consequences and face the wrath of tomorrow :(

I hope the parade will stop. I hope I can stop my own parade. :( I really need to.
Somebody told me that it might rain on my parade and sad to say it's really raining now, raindrops are falling on my head. :(

Road Domination

Last April 23 to May 1, 2010 my family had our looongggg trip after quite some time. When we say long trip it means more than our 12 hours straight driving to Baguio. It was my firs time to be the co-pilot of my Paps. We crossed bridges, mountains, rivers, railroad tracks and arches of different types. Dry and wet, windy and humid, these are just few of the the weather conditions during our one week trip.

Baguio, Ilocos Sur and Norte (Vigan, Baluarte, Cape Bojeador, Bangui Windmills, Patapat Viaduct, Pagudpud Beach and Tarlac (Central Asukarera de Tarlac) were our three major provinces that we visited. I never thought that I would be enjoying as much as I could ever imagine. What made the trip memorable was I was able to witness almost every town the we passed by and I am glad that I was able to capture most of them. I felt every minute and every hour of our trip. I was able to vent out and free myself from other worries. I can say that I was able to the enjoy the "now" that I experienced yesterday. Our Sittie is so mighty but sexy. Kudos to Sittie and kudos to my Paps, my idol in driving =). Together we dominated the road and our family bonded to the max. Hundred of my pics are in my facebook account. 'Till our next road domination!

Leverage

How stupid of me not to think about that leverage? I've been sitting comfortably on the swing pushing myself alone as the wind embraces me to tranquility that I forgot there are other stuffs on the playground. Which would you prefer? (as asked by fanget) "Swift fast death or a malingering illness in which your chance of survival is 0 to none?". Instant death or endure the pain long enough? (Fanget naman! ngayon ko lng napansin na it's both leading to death! Hmmp)

I'm ready for the rain on my parade. The what if yesterday might be stronger than my what if that i'm bringing tomorrow. Crap all these what ifs! No matter how vague we get, the truth is, we will still land on the ground. If you're on a seesaw you'll never be always on top and always down. No matter what you do you'll still go down and get off to go on with life. Get off the seesaw and see the world around you! You're vision is not limited to the up and down that the leverage is bringing you.

Hayy fanget, i don't know what i'd do without you. Thanks for popping out my head once more and pulling me out of my comfort zone. >:D<.

Wedding Dream

This entry is not a prelude to my dream wedding. This is literally my wedding in somebody else's dream.

My officemate ma'am angie had a dream the other night. It was my first time to hear someone share a dream with me as the main character. Guess what guys, I was about to get married in that dream. Of all kinds of dream that someone could have dreamed of why would it be a wedding scene and why me? It was the talk first hour in the morning inside the office and I was there in the hot seat. Do you know why?

Here's the dream:

Ma'am Angie said that she was part of the entourage, everybody else was marching on the isle and everybody was happy. I was dressed in all white with very long hair and with bangs. As of now I have a shorter hair compared to about a month ago and yep I have bangs now. The motif was gold and red. What?? Gold and red?? Is that a good color combination? Lolz. The ladies in the entourage wore gold dress with sort of red belt on the waist. While the men wore Barong but with Red shirt underneath. Quite hilarious though but very interesting. It was a GARDEN WEDDING with lighted isle, what caught the attention of my colleague were two sort of lamps hanging on the both sides of the aisle. In the dream Ma'am Angie headed towards me to kiss me best wishes, then as Ma'am Angz was looking for who the groom is.. she heard a voice "one mimim please". Ma'am Angie's toddler was waking her up to prepare him milk.

Poooofff no image of the groom was seen because the dream was simply cut off out of clutter. As to how he look looks like, how tall or short he is, how fat or thin or any of his physical attributes, the question is, have I met him or I'm about to meet him?

Everybody else in the office was trying to describe the groom thinking that it would fit somebody I personally know. Sad to say, even though how may descriptions they give, again, the groom is yet to be seen.

Legend of the Guardians

I believe I'm excited to watch this movie by September 24, 2010. I saw the trailer before the movie Clash of the Titans. The song Kings and Queens caught me because it was familiar, but beforehand I really didn't like the song not until I saw this trailer. The soundtrack fits the trailer and it fits the flight of the Owls of Ga'Hoole! Woah I can't believe I'm actually excited once more for a movie. This is a must see in 3D. I loved Happy Feet, I'm sure this will be as great as the stomping of the feet of the penguins as much as the flight of the owls. Oh not to mention, the owls are so cute!

Double Vision

i just had some double vision this morning for about 10 seconds.

whenever i look at this photo of Uma Thurman above, my eyes can still feel what i felt when i had them.

when i was about to sign some test results, i looked down on the paper and it happened.

obviously i can't see properly, i tried to blink, still the same, i tried to close my eyes, my tear ducts started to secrete tears as i tried to move my eyeballs. when i closed my eyes i even rubbed them (i hope that gesture of rubbing will not make it any worse) then little by little my vision returned to normal.

for a while, i got scared. what was that? i panicked for a moment because it's the first time i experienced such.

i tried to look it up on the internet and i didn't like it. if there's a second display of this double vision, i will now consult an ophthalmologist to be sure. i hope this is just plain eye strain... aka caused by stress.

no eyeglasses for me as much as possible.

i love my eyes.

Murderer: Killing Time

I'm out, alone, with my Curly Tops and Ellie. Oops, I bought a book a while ago, hopefully I can read it and finish everything in a few days. Been wanting to have a copy of Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie, I've read lines from the book that a friend once shared. So there, I bought my copy. I've seen this book few years back, but I never intended to buy it before. The cover looks plain and boring so I didn't bother. The true essence of a book isn't always seen from the cover. It was wrong of me to judge the book by its cover. You have to flip the page and dig into the couch and savor every word that your eyes read.

This was my initial plan for the day.

A. Go on a road trip. Waste some gas to feel the road. It makes me feel stronger.

B. Watch a movie at the cinema.

C. To top it all, be alone with myself.

On my right is Ellie, with earphones plugged and the other end in my ears playing random songs. The noise in this place is just not conducive to being alone and reflecting, but I can stand it. I just had to hit the volume loud enough to look as if there's no one else with me. I came here in a coffee shop with with two other customers in front of me, I just don' t know if how many hours were they here, but still they're here. Can anyone of you leave now so that I can transfer there on the cozy couch? :D I came here at around 11:30 am, it's now 2:31 pm at this very moment.

I'm a murderer, I killed time and still killing it now. Good thing it didn't cry out loud, no blood came out. If time is alive, I guess time has died for a million times, but it's immortal. I wanted to sit idly but Curly Tops just doesn't want to be left out or rather this is my pacifier. I can vent out with him when I'm feeling sad. I ordered one White Mocha Java Tall, and this time the hot version and not the Java Frost. A few hours after, I had my second order, Lasagna.

It's funny when people go to coffee shops or any other restaurants just to surf the net. Of course you have to pay for the food that you have to order. It's but mandatory to order something if you're going to sit using their utilities. haha Mahiya ka naman sitting there without ordering anything. Sip the coffee by milliliters, every after 15 minutes, it would take you hours just to finish the whole drink. Order one by one if you're planning to stay for a few hours. Are you paying for the coffee? Are you paying for the food? Are you paying for the wifi service? The answer is yes for all the three questions, but I'm paying to be alone. Crap, what kind of reasoning is that?! Ang emo naman. Kidding aside, I just wanted to feel every bit of me right now, reflecting what has happened after 2010 opened it's doors to all of us.

To conclude, I laid my 3 plans, I only achieved the last one, PLAN C.

Plan A Fall Back: One of the rear tires got punctured. Good thing it wasn't my fault. Paps had to had it vulcanized. So no road trip for me, and I saved up some gas.

Plan B Fall Back: After having my pedicure done, I thought I'll be watching any of the movies here in this mall. Too bad, I got lazy.

Plan C VICTORY: Literally not alone, because there's a lot of people around me. What I'm saying is, I went here alone, talking to no one, except when I ordered for my food. So there, I killed time and still killing it now. Is there anyone who wants to save time for me? Don't dare or I'll eat you! haha If you have a perfect reason to save time with me, you have to prove that you're worth my time. Naks. As if meron. haha

I just wanted to nourish my mind and soul. This is why I'm murdering time now.

Btw, one downside of being alone while you're out is this, walang magbabantay sa gamit mo kung wiwiwi ka na. waaaa lalo na hnd ka pa naman aalis. hahaha

Joan's Cube

Life is colorful... just like the Rubik's Cube.

Which cube do you prefer to look at, the solved cube or the unsolved cube? Both of them are still colorful. Life with problems and without problems are both colorful. It just depend on how you perceive them that makes it colorful or not.

I hope solving problems or confusions is just like solving the Rubik's Cube.

By just following the pattern you'll get to put all the colors together on the same side.

But if you do not have the patience to follow the pattern, chances are, you'll never solve the cube

Shoe Swings for Mood Swings

I am not a "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" kind of girl as Marilyn Monroe performed her song with the same title. I'd rather save up rather than purchase those shining shimmering bling blings that are top of the line. Though my mom at times let me use a few whenever there are important occasions, still I don't find them worthy of my savings. What would be my material best friend that is commonly used? Shoes and sun glasses. The shoe addiction really runs in the family but the sun glasses addiction makes me and my sister guilty about it. I had a bad day today, or shall I say a not so good day. I totally forgot that I don't have any black shoes at home now, because some were already given to our relatives. I was planning to borrow in order for me not to spend but I ended up buying a new pair. To make myself feel better I just said to myself "ok lng, wla na akong black shoes eh parati nlng sandals". Lesson learned: If you're upset, stay away from malls or any store that will tempt you empty your wallets.

Shoes gives women a kind of uplifting stature especially high heeled shoes. If one wears flat shoes it means that she's quite lazy or it's just an ordinary day for her. While more women find it comfortable to use flats, some would still use high heeled shoes even for a walk in the mall. Shoe swings as mood swings. The shoes of a woman will also depend on the her mood.

Oh, btw, I'm all set for my task tomorrow. Kris Aquino or whoever Aquino will come, my shoe is ready, but my dress isn't. Although I have them already hanged in my closet, the problems is, which one to wear in the morning and which one to wear in the afternoon-evening? These are just simple tasks yet women find it difficult to choose. It's indeed a girl thing that no man can understand.

Food from the Soul

I slept at around 1:30 am due to some layout stuff for a tarp for my mom's graduating students. Dahil sa kaantukan ko di ko rin natapos, kaya tinatapos ko pa ngaun. Kelangan ko ng ipaprint to this lunch time. I woke up at 6:30, 5 hours of sleep was I guess not enough because while waiting for the water to heat up I still managed to sleep for a few minutes. For almost 3 months I've been trying to change my sleeping habit and I know I haven't succeeded yet.

I'm in yellow today, the color makes me feel light, kaya nga cguro di rin halata that I still lack sleep. At around 9:30, Sir Mon came, he is the husband of our former Psychometrician, Ma'am Gaile who passed away last November. Their eldest son will be graduating from high school this Sunday and according to Sir Mon, it's a must that our office be given a treat because of Rainier's achievement. Sir Mon even joked, baka pagalitan daw sya ni Ma'am Gaile kung hnd kami ittreat.

We reminisced our moments with Ma'am Gaile before her sudden death by the video presentation that a student made and which I also prepared. The song that I used in the presentation was "Greatest Memory" by Hope. Bigla nnman tuloy ako na sad.

We were all reminded of how good and kind she was and how much we miss her. She was a mom and friend to us.

So there we ordered over the telephone and nag ready na kami for the salo-salo. Together with us was Kuya Pao who was also close to Ma'am Gaile. Ang galing nga timing nya eh, tamang tama may food from our special someone. He was even wondering kung bakit daw may food, sbi namin galing ki Ma'am Gaile yan.. so he said.. "It's FOOD FROM THE SOUL".

We will never forget the lines from the presentation during your last day here on earth. "I may have stayed short but don't prolong my agony by your grieving". We're doing fine Ma'am Gaile, personally, I'm also adjusting with big leaps in my footsteps, I know you're always there ready to guide me especially when it comes to Psychological Testing.

We truly miss you Ma'am Gaile.

She`s the one you call when you`re bored because she makes you laugh. She`s the one you talk to when you`re feeling down because she`s willing to lend an ear and be a friend. She`s not the one you call when you need a date to your company`s Christmas party, or to go dancing with on a Saturday night. She`s the one you spend time with between girlfriends, before you find `The One`. You know, the one you keep in the MEANTIME.

She`s not one of the guys, not a tomboy, but you don`t look at her as a "real" woman, either. She`s not bitchy enough, moody enough, or sexy enough to be seen in the light. She`s too laid-back, too easily amused by the same things your male buddies are amused by. She`s too understanding, too comfortable. Doesn`t make you feel nervous or excited the way a `real` woman does. But she`s cool, nice and funny, and attractive enough that when you`re lonely and need intimate female companionship, she`ll do just fine.

You don`t have to wine and dine her because she knows the real you already, and you don`t have any facades to keep up, no pretense to preserve. You`re not trying to get anything of substance out of her. She`s not easy, but you know that she cares about you and is attracted to you. And you know that you don`t have to explain yourself or the situation, that she`ll be able to cope with the fact that this isn`t the beginning of a relationship or that there`s any possiblity that you have any real romantic feelings for her.

It won`t bother her that you`ll get up in the morning, put on your pants, say goodbye, and go on a date with the woman you`ve been mooning over for weeks who finally agreed to go out with you. She`ll settle for a goodbye hug and a promise to call her and tell her how the date went. She`s just so cool.. why can`t all women be like that?!

But deep down, if you really think about it (which you probably don`t.. because to you, the situation between the two of you isn`t important enough to merit any real thought) you know that it`s really not fair.

You know that although she would never say it, it hurts her to know that despite all her good points and all the fun you two have, you don`t think she`s good enough to spend any real time with. Sure, it`smostly her fault, because she doesn`t have to give in to your needs - she could really play hard-to-get. Bitch like the rest of them do, if she really wanted to. But you and she both know that she probably couldn`t pull it off. Maybe she`s too short, or a little overweight, or has big birthmark on her forehead, or works at Taco Bell, or just really not that type.

Whatever the reason, somehow life has given her a lot of really great qualities but has left out the ones that men want (or think they want) in a woman. So she remains forever the funny friend, the steadfast companion, the secret lover, and you go on searching for your goddess who will somehow be everything you ever wanted in a woman.

You`ll joke to her that she should be the best man at your wedding, and she`ll laugh and make a joke about a smelly rental tux.

She doesn`t captivate you with her beauty, or open doors with her smile.

Mainly, she blends in with the crowd. She`s safe. She doesn`t want to be the center of attention and turn the heads of everyone in the room. But she wants to turn someone`s head. She wants to be SPECIAL to someone, too. We all do.

She has feelings. She has heart. In fact, she probably has a bigger heart than any woman you`ve ever known because she`s had a front-row seat to The Mess That Is Your Life, and she likes you anyway.

This post will be my last acknowledgement from my birthday celebration because it’s about a last gift.I think I still have my hangover and birthday jitters that consumed me for the past 4 days. Last Saturday, someone gave me a Swiss Muesli Cake from Brekkie. Honestly speaking, it was an unexpected gift. To cut it short there are 4 unique things about that present.

First, it was the 4^th and last cake that I received.

Second, it was the smallest cake good for one.

Third, it was the only healthy cake. Only a few people know about my 104 fbs. :D

And Fourth, it was only from one person. The other three cakes were all given by a group.

Despite all ragging comments at the thread and meets, thank you.

It's as simple as that, no other words but thank you. =)

To the rest of the guys and gurls, enough with the intrigued grins in your faces. Haha Wag maging malisyoso at malisyosa. :P

Family's Love

Sunday is always known as the family day. Sunday is my only rest day and Sunday is the only day that our small family is complete. My last birthday celebration was of course with my family. We had a simple lunch at Max’s Restaurant at SM. It’s our usual routine that after hearing mass we eat out in various restaurants every Sunday.

Safety Zone

Last night, I had a chat with my Sissy Ching. We did some catching up on our latest happenings in our lives. Here's another common thing in us. It's no doubt why we have been close because of some things that we usually talk about. We don't know if this is bad luck or there's something wrong with us. Actually there is. Haha

The following are random thoughts and realizations that I gathered from our conversation.

MU can be MisUnderstanding, Malabong Usapan and not anymore Mutual Understanding. MisUnderstanding is the latest definition of MU.

From the text message of Ching this morning: "Sometimes it's better to push someone away, not because you stopped loving that someone, but because you have to love yourself and shield yourself from too much pain."

Another argument from that message is: Loving oneself and shielding oneself from too much pain is better than loving with no assurance. At least you kept something for yourself, right?
Shielding oneself from pain is selfishness covered with fear and not giving yourself a chance to be loved by others.

You may be saying that you love the person, but you are not ready to take the risk of letting him love you, then it isn't love that you are feeling as well.

The fear is growing within you that all the other senses are blocked... most especially the "heart sense" which gives us the ability to love and be loved by others.

We are in our safety zone, away from pain, we are feeling the pain now that is why we are shielding ourselves. We are hesitant to move away from this safety zone.

Common ground of all these?? Fear.

New Found Friends

The last quarter of 2009, I met a number of people over a forum called skyscrapercity. These people are particularly from CamSur with wide personalities, in an array of ages and professions. Despite all these differences, we have one thing in common, the love for Naga, Iriga and Camarines Sur Provinces in general. Before I joined the group, I really didn't have any idea that my photos were being used by the SSC CamSur forumers. Not until I tried Googling NCD myself and other photos that I noticed a few webistes with my posts in it.. and there one of them is SSC. It was then I realized that my photos were in good hands. I registered earlier than Kuya Pao but he was more active than me those days while I was a lurker for a few months. Until I decided to sound off a little around July or August of last year. The forumers were now able to meet me in the forum as the NCD who maintains the same blog. In a span of 7 months (approximately) that I have been with the SSC Forumers, It was quite a short time but it seems I knew them already for a year or so. It was an instantaneous professional growth along with friendship. What I like about these people is the professionalism that each and everyone shares. We treat each other professionally but we also know how to become friends with each other.

It's even ironic that I am able to post in the thread first rather than in my blog. Although I hate it because all the forumers around the world makes the skyscrapercity owner richer than we have ever imagine and I am guilty contributing to that. But without SSC i have no new found friends.

To those who came last Saturday Night at Triboo Grill, namely: Kuya Pao, Brian, JP, Sir Bob, Kuya Irvz and Aidz. Thank you so much! The drive to CWC was fun and it was also a time for us to catch up with updates as to what we usually do in the thread. Conversations about the recent developments in CamSur will never be separated to all of us.

I really believe that God knows how to provide, if people leave you for a rather important reason, then God certainly knows how to replace their presence in a form of different personalities... the SSC people. I despise people who leave me, been there done that but everything has a reason that's why I had to put it in my system that people around you have their own journeys to take. It's in the thought and memories that I can hold on to.

More roadtrips, more choochoo rides, hopefully beach escapades to come!

Surprised!

The Association of Psych Majors had their scheduled General Assembly. As their adviser, I was there to observe and somehow guide them during the activity. I went upstairs at the venue during the latter part because I was still finishing some office works.

First part of the surprise was: I was called in the office because someone was looking for me. There were two pink roses for me daw given by someone. Kinukulit ko yung mga nasa office kung kanino galing and they weren't telling me. Nagkataon din na may client pa ako sa Testing kaya I had to stay for a few minutes.

Then I went back to the venue of the General Assembly..... then and there as I entered the room, I saw my picture flashed on the wall with a birthday greeting. I was having my birthday jitters for the first time. I wasn't expecting that they will be giving me a surprise party. Why did I say that it was a party? It's because it was complete, cake (my 3rd one hehe), plus with matching flowers and wine. So there, I found out that the flowers given downstairs was there way for them to set up the table, food and everything. They gave too much effort in cooking Pancit (special mention from the very good cook Ate Jessica) then my puto and kutsinta pa, hotdogs and pineapple, then juice. Who would have thought that they would they had to do it just for me. I know I can never replace their former mother who recently passed away, but I am trying my best as their teacher and adviser to be there, ate, manay, teacher, adviser and friend in my own ways.

To my APM Family: Psych Majors, of course, headed by Kuya Ron, at ang mga totoong Ate ko tlga, hehe, Ate Kat Fabi, Ate Jessica P., Ate Joyce P., Ate MeAnn, ate Kat, Emrose, Kuya Philip, Irene, Emrose, Len, waaaa you’re so plenty. Philip, our new president, I know it will be fun working with you. Psych Testing Class ko thanks! plus ALL the others na palagi din ready to help the Guidance Center. Heart Felt Birthday Celebration

Friendship means across all ages, across different orientations and across a lifetime. I thank God for having the following people around me who were molded into different packages yet I found the goodness and best in them.

This is the first time that I had more than one celebration of my birthday.

March 16, 2010: Had dinner with sister Kevs at Megamall. I made sure to meet her when I had my training in Manila.

March 18, 2010: At around 2:00 pm, the lights in my room were closed. The Peer Counselors Organization gave me my first surprise greeting placed on the wall plus with the sparkly candle lighted chocolate cake roll. (Cake Number 1)

To my PCO Family, thank you!: Ma'am Angz, Kuya Squall, Kuya Jett, Ate Donna, Kuya Nins, Kuya Jord, Kuya Lem, Kuya RJ, Kuyre Regz, Kuya Ben, and ALL the other PEERS who are always there for the Guidance Center. Salamat sa surprise cake and matching greeting in my room!

March 18, 2010: After the Peers' surprise, we attended a wedding at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish Church, Ma'am Bebz was one of the Principal Sponsors, while my task was to read the First Reading. After the wedding, we decided to have coffee at TCB.

March 19, 2010: Minutes after midnight, I received countless heart warming greetings. I decided to take half of the day at home then went to school at around 3:oo pm. I haven't prepared anything else rather than Ice cream, it's funny though that anything that we share inside the office is always a kind of bond formation, pasensya na ice cream lng naibigay ko hehe.

I received my 2nd cake!! This was no surprise because I was really waiting for that very oozing thick chocolate cake from Ching. To my extended Llaguno siblings, Thanks sa uber yummy chocolate cake!!!! Chinkgay, Jillapot and Jobay Llaguno, Shine, Tita Dada and Tito Awel. Ksama pa si Barrack and Amanda hehe

Later that day, we decided to visit Shen Fu Li's wake. Oh btw, it's Saint Josephs' Day. We left SJS, then I had the chance to bond with my cousin. Together with me was my sister and cousin Shami @ TCB once more. It's seldom that we usually spend time with cousins from my father side, that's why it's a celebration worth remembering. Went home at around midnight already.

So Soon But Goodbye and Hello in Time

It was past 11 pm last night of October 11, 2009 when I was really lazy to do some important things. So, I then opt to view some of my stocked photos in my laptop looking for snap shots to replace my banner. As I passed by the folder where I kept my SPED days, without any single thought, I suddenly searched for the screen shot that I made when I was still chatting with a friend months ago. The photo was taken when he was at the hospital during his therapy sessions when he let me viewed his webcam. That was the last time when I saw him online. Because I last saw him personally during the first quarters of the year if I'm not mistaken.

It was around 1:00 am when Vonn sent me a message over ym informing me that one of our friends just passed away around 11:00 pm. Poof, GOOSEBUMPS to the max! Because he was pertaining to the person who I looked for in my folders. It was obviously dark, the room was quite cold because of the AC and the laptop was the only thing that was giving me light. Upon receiving the grave news from Vonn, I know it was not just plain goose bumps. Because I am a person who can stand cold temperature without getting goose bumps. The only part of my body that gets cold is my feet. Was that coincidence? Why would I bother looking for his photos when I felt so lazy last night? I know there’s a reason why I gave effort in looking for his photo. I am a person who doesn’t feel all those “paramdam” from people who die even when my grandmother passed away. There's always a first time, the first time that I felt a bit scared. It was indeed an unusual experience for me.

So this morning, October 12, yes it’s confirmed from his brother. He really did passed away 11 pm. He will be home back here in Naga tomorrow morning. I then hurriedly informed some of my friends who also knew Aboi. I got to know Aboi personally when I took my Sped units in Ateneo. Surprisingly, he was already a friend of mine under his nickname like Mosquiton and because he was one of the Dy4-Clan when I was still in HS and early college years. IRC days really gave me a lot of friends who are still with me up to the present and Aboi was one of them. He wasn’t just a chatmate, he wasn’t just a classmate in sped, he was like my protector,. He protects me from my weaknesses by giving me encouragements to face them. I will surely treasure those meek words that you gave me.

I will miss our chitchats especially when he teases me a lot because he knew one secret of mine that only a few knows. I know you will still keep it as a secret aboi. We shared photos in flickr and talk about what was recently happening in my life. Now, he is with the Lord. No more sufferings, no more cancer, no more pain. It’s time for you to live your life with Him. Cancer chooses no one, cancer chooses no age, Aboi will always be an icon of great courage fighting against Cancer. I will surely miss you my dear friend. You left So Soon, but we had to say Goodbye because we know you’re ready. In time we’ll say Hello once again. >:D<

There was a sudden change of wind. I'm certain that it wasn't a storm or a tornado. But things change, expectations change and people do, even though you least expect them to. Reality check, not all people that we perceive to be nice will always be nice. Just remember, give yourself a chance for you to see the genuine heart of a person. Even if you're not asked to appreciate them at least you did your part. Good luck and have patience.

Time, time, time, I think it's about 2 years or more that I started working on my wordpress blog, which was my first ever blog on-line. I checked out my wordpress account (but i'm not going to post it here haha) and it's a blessing that I used my default username and password for all seasons. I even forgot how the layout of my wordpress account looks like, but I think there was a slight change. It's delighting to see your own outputs brought about by mixed emotions for about 3 to 4 years ago. I even saw how crappy I am with my words and grammar that's why I felt so lucky to have retrieved them. I was able to have a good laugh with my errors. I decided to revise my Plains Stripes Prints description... here it goes...

I’m plain.. i’m stripes. and i’m printed

im plain with clear outlook to who i am. im not much of a talker because i am much of a listener, i like to scribble anything that comes out of my mind. sometimes i say it, sometimes i don’t, because there are things that should be left unsaid for others to realize that the absence of word will be enough for an asnwer. no matter how complex life is, i’d still like to live life plain and simple, because too much pre-occupation on the complex can make a person dull and stupid.

i live in stripes..vertical or horizontal.. there are a lot of ways to survive this life called reality. we may have the same coping mechanisms, but we differ on how we feel and react towards all those stressors in life. i live by my words by hit or miss, i stand for what i say.. sometimes life can be misleading because of mouths around us that can make or break us. be affected with what others say or be the effect of what you say to others. it’s a matter of how you strip in the stripes that crosses over your pathway.

i need some prints in my consciousness. i need your reactions to teach me how to live life well and to use my words in the utmost good way. we all need someone beyond ourselves who can pop our heads out to be awakened by reality. we all leave prints in the heart of all those we meet, as you leave prints in my heart, i’ll try to leave something in your heart as well. don’t forget that prints can be also be scars, so let us stay away from that.

Anything visible is powerful, what is Plainly seen, Stripes that crosses over, and Prints that leave marks. But the unseen in a person is something that we should learn, explore and understand. PSP and the unknown is what is within ME that makes me human enough to co-exist with you.

I am the me who can’t be you, but I can share my life with you.

It' always on the process that I'm learning and i'm able to notice my errors because of your comments. I'm not opting to be someone din and kung mapapansin nyo po (if na browse nyo po ung nsa hulihan), ung early posts ko here ay from my old blog pa sa wordpress, mga tinago k lng yan and i didn't edit them para may authenticity ng errors. haha. pero seriously di ko tlga inedit pa ang mga un kahit may mga mali. di ko narin naasikaso to, 3 entries na lng pala sa month of June? ouch.. kc i created another blog na mas kumain ng oras ko which is Naga City Deck

Omg, i still can't get over it. Di naman halata noh kc tlgang nag blog pa ako? hehe. Sulit ang 110 pesos!!!! It's a long story how we ended up watching on the premier day. All I can remember before I posted the Official Trailer in my Plains Stripes Prints blog, I said that Ima watch it "no questions asked". So there, I really did watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on the "big screen". I don't care if Naga doesn't have the ones like iMax, coz I'm thankful that we are not left behind as to what movies are being showed worldwide. I was convincing my sister to close the shop as early as possible so that we can watch tonight, and so? the convincing power was good and I got to feed the "urgency" to watch it as soon as possible. I know it's illegal to bring any recording device inside a cinema house, but sorry i took a few snaps for my blog hihi photos lng naman and i did not take any vids because i don't like to spoil the moment. So if you're gonna watch it sa SM Cinema prepare Php 110.00 for the ticket and it's up to you if you're gonna munch some popcorn or chips. If you want a lower price you can watch sa Bichara, all you need is Php 75.00. If you like to watch it alone, it's alright, but you'll enjoy it even more if you have you're friends with you or you're family too.

How will I describe the movie? It's double the laughter compared to the first movie, heart pounding and megazillion of action. Cool cars as always, Obama was mentioned at hnd rin magpapatalo ang swine flu. san ka pa! hahahaha Wheww. i don't want to be a spoiler. In my opinion, mapapamura ka sa ganda ng movie!! haha.. i'm guilty of that. lol. I dunno if how much did the movie cost, but with its quality, I think it's a lot lot more of million dollars? I bet it will be on the Number One Spot for quite some time. YOU, yes YOU, you better watch it or else you'll definitely miss one of the greatest creations in the movie industry.

Stressful and Dreadful Day

It's Tuesday, I was supposed to buy a few things and do some errands today besides going to work. But, another "negative episode" conquered our work place. "Some" inconsiderate and selfish people caused this nothingness to our atmosphere. Yes I would consider it nothingness because they are such wimps and seemingly good as uneducated people despite their educational attainmentSS, with 2 S's because they are in their peak of their career (yet old). Oh sorry, I can even give my full respect to uneducated people who literally who cannot afford to go to school because they live with dignity and respect for others. But then again, these wimps suck blood like mosquitoes leaving bumps in the skin of innocent victims.They are the rust in their own metallic structure that destroys their own prestige.

They may be in their highest momentum and valor today or tomorrow but surely they will have a pay for what they have caused us, which is not even tantamount to the pain and sacrifices that we did. We like our work and our work loves us back but the quality of our work gets to be sacrificed because of their greed and egoistic attitudes. Poor you, poor them, remember what the Bible said? "What does it gain a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?" I'll leave that for them.

My day was so stressful and the ending was soooooooooooooo dreadful!
I got nearly bitten by a snake. It was a few meters away from me, it stopped but the rest of the body was hissing, it's neck raised up a little and was ready to bite me. But thank God, I managed to ran as fast as I could. I can't afford to stay put and stay calm but I can afford to stretch my legs to the farthest way I could just to escape from that huge crawling snake. I know it was an adult snake, it was long and the body was quite healthy. Nawara tlga si kalag ko as in!!!

I'm still alive! Thank you Lord for letting me survive this stressful and dreadful day.

Thank you so much Lord!!!!!!!! and thank you to my family and friends who prayed for me. Thank you for believing in me.

My mom woke me up, telling me that na release na daw ung result ng LET, ngarag pa ako kc kagigising ko lng.. sbi ko "ang aga naman eh sbi samin nung nag take kami ng exam end of May daw ang release. So i hurriedly opened my laptop then checked sa PRC website. Gosh my heart was beating so fast, nahirapan pa ako maghanap kc sept 2008 ung una kong nakuha tapos wala ako dun, so the more na grabe na ung hearbeat ko. tsk tsk. Then I check sa Inquirer.net, it says there April 2009 LET exam released, I screamed within me sbi ko. waaaa this is it.. pano kung wala ako?!?!?! then I checked sa Letter D.. De La, may space ang de la ko hnd dela.. number 1784 DE LA TRINIDAD, JOAN VILLANUEVA naka pasa nga ako!!! tingnan ko nga ulit baka mali pag ka tingin ko? Sbi ni mama tingnan mo nga kung Villanueva. hahaha

I checked and checked for how many times? more than 5 times eh. just to make sure na naka pasar tlga ako. grabee whewwww after all the sleepless nights and super duper worries if i will pass the exam, it has finally paid off, i even kept it a secret that i took the LET exam. Why? Because the pressure was too much, sa office, sa class namin, sa buong university! So i said what if i will not pass, i can't take the humiliation and shame. Pero after the exam, nalaman at nalaman din ng iba pero konti lng naman that i really took the exam. Believe in prayers, Believe in HIM and believe in yourself and you will also get your answers.

Congrats din to Ms. Jazmine Ontang, Sir Charles Bolival and Sir Dariel Palmiano.. for my classmates who passed din.. congrats po!!! sila lng kc ung kilala ko at nahanap ko sa list of passers. hehe

Again, thank you very much! Unending thanks and gratitude to the Lord and to my friends and family. I love you all!

Since I've noticed that I was able to make entries about a common theme/topic, I've decided to have a separate blog for each. As of now I have made one for Cars http://autocarpark.blogspot.com and for Naga City http://nagacitydeck.blogspot.com
Still to come will be about Photography (I hope I can pull it off because i'm not that well versed yet with that area), another one for all the Poems that I have written then last would be for Music and or Mtv with the aid of other websites of course.

Eventually, Plains Stripes Prints will be my mother blog with all my daily challenges, endeavours, miseries, and hopes waiting for a silver lining amidst them all. This will now even sound more personal than the other accounts. I'm still trying to look for other niches to blog, can anyone suggest or recommend? I've tried Wordpress already.. what else do we have?

The UNC Placement Service still remains its spot, I'm just waiting for some tutoring lessons of having our own account in our school's website so that our office will have an easy access to the site.

The result was released around 21:00 this evening.
Only 20.58% or 1,310 from the 6,364 examinees passed the bar exam. According to the Chairman of the 2008 Bar Exam, the passing mark was lowered to 72.5% instead of 75% because there are very few examinees who are able to pass the exam.

Around 21:26 this evening, I was seated on our swivel chair that rocks a little sideways and front and back.. At first i thought the chair was only malfunctioning again, un pala earthquake na! this was the second time na nasa swivel chair ako na nag lindol..

Single by Choice or Single by Force?

March 1^st of this year, I had the privilege to spend a few hours of quality time with my college friends whom I haven’t seen for almost 2 ½ years. Coincidence or not, fate or by choice, destiny or man’s initiative, all of my 6 friends were presently SINGLE. Single as an adjective and defined according to the civil status, it means “without spouse or partner: unmarried or unattached, or characteristic of this state”.

Let’s take it in the context of our age and present status who graduated college 3 years ago.

Alex, Zamir, Serlyn, Ina, Alice and Michelle, they are my college friends who I met up with in Baguio and yes they are all single. Michelle is just a little bit fresh from breaking up after their 4 or 5 years (correct me if I’m wrong Mich) of relationship. Plus Serlyn who got singled out din a few months before Mich.

Now let us define once again “single”. Being single is emotionally unattached and with no commitment to someone (boy/girlfriend). Isama na natin ung may mga ka MU or ka fling fling kasi still they are not yet officially “them”. For formality sake lng naman usually ang bf ang gf na status eh, and kadalasan it’s a means for someone to say that he/she belongs to this person and is not allowed to date someone else per se.

When I and my college friends were updating ourselves as to what had happened to us after graduation, there was a made-up club organized by them. Due to their singleblessedness and unlucky love life, they have thought about something that they are either Single by Choice or Single by Force. Take your pick!

What is Single by Force?

1. Single because there is no choice (as defined by a friend). There is no one to choose from and there is no one yet who sees you as his/her someone. This is “pressure” for those who are late 20’s, 30’s and “desperate” for those who are 40’s hehe.

What is Single by Choice?

1. Single because he/she chose to be single. Under the circumstance of:

a. The relationship had to end because there is/are EV’s (Extraneous Variable or unwanted issues in life and were not settled equally by both parties)

b. Even though there are potential partners around, he/she chooses not to get into a relationship maybe because of other priorities or he/she doesn’t like the person at all and vice versa. Not compatible with each other? Maybe.

Months ago, I remembered a status in my ym which was suggested by my sissy. Related kc sya dto sa single ek ek na to.

“Technically single but emotionally taken” where does this belong to? Single by Force or Choice? Or both? I personally think that it can be both for a few reasons:

1. You liked and eventually loved someone BUT it’s only you or ang tawag dito ay “one sided love” na hnd alam ng gusto mo na gusto mo sya and you don’t have any intention of telling her/him. Technically single but your emotions are only directed to one person that you only choose him/her but you are forced to be alone because he/she doesn’t like you. Sbi nga sa isang book “He’s not just into you”.

But despite all those unlucky love life that we are experiencing, we are happy that our careers are more or less on good track. All seven of us have work and are doing well with our post grad education. Sbi nga, kung malas sa luv life okay ang career. This is more or less 85% true to all of us. We may not have the best compensation in our field of work but we are dedicated and persevering.

For those who are currently in a relationship, open your thoughts to a lot of possibilities, it’s not everyday that you will be always happy and merry because surely there are a lot of trials tests if you are really meant for each other. You are of two different worlds trying to fuse in and co-existing in all the similarities and differences that you both have. Surely you can achieve it only if you work together and listen to each other. Plus praying is always a good armour in our everyday life.

Upon knowing that a lot of my friends are still single, it’s a sign that we should not be pressured at all, we have all the time in the world. We are human enough that we sometimes miss having someone beside you and go through different challenges everyday, but it’ll come. God has His list of the people that He wants us to meet, encounter, like, and eventually share a life with. For all the Singles out there, enjoy work, school, friends and most importantly make each and every single day a blessed and happy day, make the most of it!
